Coaching Specialist. My main training focus is heavy strength work and coaching midlife women to build muscle, confidence, and long-term resilience.
I’ve been coming to Stephanie Miller Fitness since 2019, and I’ve always admired the tight-knit, hometown feel of SMF. As someone who lives right here in Canonsburg, PA (and grew up in Washington, PA), it means a lot to step into a teaching role in a community that feels genuinely connected.
At 50, I coach from lived experience. I’m a postmenopausal woman navigating Type 2 diabetes, a proud mom of two college-age sons, wife of an amazing husband, working full-time, and still working hard to lift heavy and take care of my health. I understand the real demands midlife places on a body and a nervous system, and my style blends science, compassion, humor, and steady encouragement.
Along with teaching here, I also own and run Midlife Made Well, a strength and nutrition coaching brand dedicated to helping women thrive through smart training, metabolic health, recovery strategies, and sustainable habits. The work I do there deeply informs the way I teach at the gym—approachable, realistic, and designed for real women with real lives.
That’s why I’m so excited to bring a true recovery option to SMF. M & M Yoga (Mobility & Meditation Flow) blends mobility work, gentle strength, restorative yoga, and guided meditation.
It’s designed for lifters, busy women, and anyone who needs a structured way to reset their body and calm their nervous system between tough training days. Strong bodies need recovery, and I’m here to help make that part feel accessible and enjoyable.
Outside the studio, I work as a K–3 school librarian helping young readers discover books they love. When I’m not teaching or coaching, you’ll find me lifting, cooking, reading somewhere cozy, studying training and nutrition science, or spending time with my family!!
